Is KioTools really free? Yes. Every tool listed on our Tools page is free to use, with no sign-up required.

Do I need to create an account? No. KioTools tools are designed to be used immediately, without registration or login.

How many tools does KioTools offer? A growing collection of image, PDF, audio, video, text, code, and calculator tools — browse the full, current list on the Tools page.

Do my files get uploaded to your servers? KioTools' tools run using JavaScript directly in your browser, so files and text you process are generally not transmitted to a KioTools server as part of the tool's core function. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Does KioTools save anything on my device? Some tools save your work locally in your browser's storage, on your device only — for example the Planner's tasks, Pomodoro stats, Trading Journal entries, Typing Test personal bests, your theme choice, and your favourite/recently-used tools. None of it is sent to us. You can clear it at any time from your browser's site settings (usually “Clear site data” or “Cookies and site data” for kiotools.com) — that removes it completely, since we never held a copy.

Which browsers are supported? KioTools tools are built for modern browsers — recent versions of Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Safari.

A tool isn't working — what should I do? Try refreshing the page and, if possible, testing in an updated browser. If the issue continues, contact us via Contact Us.

Is there a faster way to search for a tool? Press Ctrl+K (or ⌘+K on Mac) anywhere on the site to open a search palette for every tool. On the Tools page, press-and-hold the scroll-to-top button for about a second to open the same search instead of scrolling.

Is there a file size limit? There's no hard block — everything runs on your own device, so the practical limit is your device's memory, not a rule we enforce. Past a certain size we just show a warning: 25 MB for images, 100 MB for audio and PDF files, and 200 MB for video. Tools that accept several files at once cap a single batch at 50 files.
