Government portals, job applications and exam forms often cap uploads at 100 KB. This page opens the compressor in Target size mode set to 100 KB, with the width limited to 1600 pixels so even a large phone photo can reach the goal.

When to use it

  • An online application rejects your photo for being over 100 KB

Frequently asked questions

Will the result be exactly 100 KB?

It aims as close as possible by searching for the best JPEG quality, so it may land slightly above or below. Reduce the max width if it ends up too large.

Does it work for PNG files?

The target size search needs a lossy format, so the output is JPEG. PNGs are converted to JPG to reach the size.

Is my picture sent anywhere?
