Crop PDF
Crop PDF
What is this tool?
A PDF cropper built on pdf-lib. In manual mode you set the margin to remove from each side and see it shaded on the page; in auto mode the tool finds where the content sits on each page and trims the blank space around it. The new page size is written into the file, so every viewer and printer shows the cropped page.
When to use it
- Removing wide white margins from a scanned document
- Trimming a page to its content before placing it in another document
- Cutting off a header or footer band you don't need
- Making pages fit a reader screen better
- Cropping only some pages, such as a title page
How to use it
- 1Drop in a PDF
- 2Choose Manual margins, or Auto-trim to content
- 3Set the margins (or the space to keep around the content) and the pages to crop
- 4Check the shaded preview, page by page
- 5Click Crop PDF and download the result
Frequently asked questions
Is the cropped-off area deleted?
It is outside the new page, so it is not shown or printed, but it is not erased from the file. Use Redact if the content must be destroyed.
How does auto-trim decide what is content?
It draws each page small and finds the outermost non-white pixels. The blank-detection setting controls how much dust or specks are ignored.
Can I crop only some pages?
Yes — enter a range like 1-3, 5, or leave it blank for all pages.
Is my PDF uploaded?
No — it's processed entirely in your browser.
