Flatten PDF
Flatten PDF
What is this tool?
A PDF flattener with two modes. Form fields mode turns each fillable field into ordinary page content using the value it holds now and removes the editable boxes, keeping the rest of the page as it is. Whole pages mode redraws every page as one image, which flattens everything visible at the cost of selectable text.
When to use it
- Locking a completed application form before you send it
- Stopping a filled-in PDF from being edited by the recipient
- Baking comments and stamps into the page so every viewer shows them
- Merging layers into a single flat page for printing
- Making a form's values show the same in every PDF viewer
How to use it
- 1Drop in a PDF — the tool counts its form fields and annotations
- 2Choose Form fields to keep the text selectable, or Whole pages for a full flatten
- 3For whole pages, pick a resolution and image quality
- 4Click Flatten PDF and download the result
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between the two modes?
Form fields mode keeps text selectable and only fixes the fields. Whole pages mode redraws each page as an image, which also flattens comments, stamps and layers but makes the text unselectable.
Can a flattened form be edited again?
Not as a form — the fields are gone. The values are part of the page.
Why is the whole-pages file bigger?
Each page becomes an image. A lower resolution or quality setting makes it smaller.
Is my PDF uploaded?
No — it's processed entirely in your browser.
