Frequently asked questions

Why is the output a PNG?

A circle needs transparent corners, which only formats like PNG and WebP can store. JPEG would fill them with a solid colour.

Can I use it as a profile picture?

Yes. Most sites accept the PNG, and many apply their own circle mask over a square upload as well.

Will edges look jagged?

No. The edge is anti-aliased so it stays smooth when the image is shown at its normal size.
