PDF N-Up & Booklet
PDF N-Up & Booklet
What is this tool?
A PDF layout tool with two modes. Pages per sheet (N-up) tiles consecutive pages onto each sheet in a grid. Booklet mode reorders the pages so that, printed double-sided and folded, they read in order — adding blank pages to fill the last sheet and optionally splitting a thick booklet into smaller stacks.
When to use it
- Printing handouts with four slides per page
- Making a small booklet from a document
- Saving paper when printing a long draft
- Proofing a document's flow in a compact sheet view
- Preparing a right-to-left booklet

Frequently asked questions
How do I print the booklet?
Print double-sided, flipping on the short edge, then fold the stack in half. The pages come out in reading order.
What if the page count isn't a multiple of four?
Blank pages are added to fill the last sheet.
What are stacks for?
A thick booklet is hard to fold as one stack. Splitting it into smaller stacks of a few sheets makes each easier to fold and bind.
Do links and form fields survive?
No — pages are redrawn onto the new sheets, so links and fillable fields are not carried over.
Is my PDF uploaded?
No — it's processed entirely in your browser.
