Remove Blank PDF Pages
Remove Blank PDF Pages
What is this tool?
A blank-page remover. It draws every page small, measures how much of each page is ink, and flags the ones that are essentially empty. You choose how strict the test is and how much of the page edge to ignore, can flip any page by hand, and then it builds a new PDF without the pages marked Remove.
When to use it
- Cleaning up a duplex scan of single-sided sheets
- Dropping the blank pages a printer or exporter inserted
- Removing separator sheets between scanned documents
- Shrinking a PDF before you send or print it
- Tidying a long scan without checking each page yourself
How to use it
- 1Drop in a PDF — each page is checked and labelled Keep or Remove
- 2Pick how strict the blank test is, and how much of the page edge to ignore
- 3Click any page to flip its label if the detection got it wrong
- 4Click Remove and download the cleaned PDF
Frequently asked questions
How does it decide a page is blank?
It draws the page small and counts the dark pixels. A page whose share of ink is below the limit for the strictness you chose counts as blank; the percentage is shown under each page.
What about a page that only has a page number or scan shadow?
Raise the page-edge setting so a border around the page is ignored, or use Loose. You can also flip any page by hand.
Could it remove a page that isn't blank?
Pages are only removed after you see them labelled, and you can change any label first. Light pages with very little content are the ones to check.
Is my PDF uploaded?
No — it's processed entirely in your browser.
