Frequently asked questions
Can it open a PDF if I forgot the password?
No. It needs the correct password and never guesses or cracks one. If the password is lost, the contents can't be recovered.
What if the PDF opens but I can't print or copy?
That is a restrictions-only file. Drop it in and choose Remove restrictions to save a copy without them. Only do this for files you have the right to use that way.
Does the original change?
No — you get a new copy and your original file is untouched.
Is my PDF or password uploaded?
No — decryption happens entirely in your browser; neither the file nor the password leaves your device.
