Put 2 PDF Pages on One Sheet
Put 2 PDF Pages on One Sheet
About this option
Two pages per sheet is the standard way to save paper without making text unreadable: each page is shrunk to fit side by side on a landscape sheet. This preset opens the layout tool in 2-up mode, so a 20-page document prints on 10 sheets.
When to use it
- Printing a long document for reading, not for presentation
- Halving the sheet count for a draft review
- Making a compact PDF to read on a phone held sideways
How to use it
- 1Drop the PDF — 2 pages per sheet is already selected
- 2Choose the reading direction and gap between pages
- 3Check the first-sheet preview and click Create
- 4Download the 2-up PDF
Frequently asked questions
Is the text still readable at 2 per sheet?
Usually, yes. Each page is scaled to roughly 70%, which stays legible for normal body text.
Can I add a border around each page?
Yes. Tick the border option to outline each page, which helps when pages have white backgrounds.
Does it affect the original file?
No. A new PDF is created; your original is untouched.
