About this option
Documents exported from design tools, scanned on odd paper or received from another country often arrive in sizes that print badly. This preset opens the page-size tool on A4, with the content fitted inside each page so nothing is cut off.
When to use it
- A form or application insists on A4 pages
- A US Letter PDF needs to be printed on A4 paper
- A mix of page sizes in one PDF needs to be made uniform
How to use it
- 1Drop the PDF — A4 and Fit are already selected
- 2Choose Match each page, Portrait or Landscape for the orientation

Frequently asked questions
Will the content be cut off?
Not with Fit: the whole page is scaled to sit inside A4, leaving blank space where the shapes differ. Choose Fill if you prefer to crop instead.
Is the text still selectable?
Yes. Pages are embedded as vector content, so text stays sharp and selectable. Interactive links and form fields are not carried over.
What is A4 in inches?
8.27 × 11.69 inches, or 210 × 297 mm.
