Rotate a PDF 180° (Upside Down)
Rotate a PDF 180° (Upside Down)
About this option
Pages that were scanned upside down — often the back sides of double-sided originals — need a half turn rather than a quarter turn. This preset opens the PDF rotator at 180°, which flips each selected page top to bottom and keeps the file otherwise unchanged.
When to use it
- The back sides of a duplex scan came out upside down
- A document was fed into the scanner head-first
- Every second page of a PDF is inverted
How to use it
- 1Drop the PDF and confirm the 180° option is selected
- 2To fix only the inverted pages, enter their numbers, for example 2, 4, 6-10
- 3Review the preview, then click Rotate
- 4Download the corrected PDF
Frequently asked questions
Is 180° the same as flipping the page?
It turns the page around its centre, so the top becomes the bottom and left becomes right — the way you would rotate a sheet of paper on a desk.
How do I fix every other page?
Type the page numbers separated by commas, such as 2, 4, 6, 8. Ranges like 10-20 also work.
Will rotating make the file bigger?
No. The pages are not re-rendered; only their orientation is recorded, so the size stays almost identical.
