Rotate a PDF 90° Counterclockwise
Rotate a PDF 90° Counterclockwise
About this option
When a page lies on its right side, a quarter turn to the left puts it upright — the same as rotating 270° clockwise. This preset opens the rotator on that setting, which is the usual fix for landscape tables and slides that were exported turned the wrong way.
When to use it
- A wide table or slide was exported lying on its right side
- A photographed page needs its top moved from the right edge to the top
- You rotated 90° clockwise and the page went the wrong way
How to use it
- 1Drop the PDF — the preview turns each page 90° to the left
- 2Pick a page range if only part of the document is affected
- 3Click Rotate once the thumbnails look right
- 4Download the result
Frequently asked questions
Is counterclockwise the same as 270° clockwise?
Yes. A quarter turn to the left and three quarter turns to the right end in the same position.
Can I rotate the same file again?
Yes. Load the new PDF and rotate again; each pass adds to the page's current orientation.
Does it work on password-protected PDFs?
Not directly. Remove the password first with the Unlock PDF tool, then rotate.
