About this option

JPG gives the smallest image files, so it suits scanned documents, photo-heavy pages and anything you are going to email or post. This preset renders each PDF page at 2× resolution as a JPG and packs the set into a ZIP.

When to use it

  • Emailing or uploading pages to a site that only accepts JPG
  • A photo-heavy brochure where small file size matters more than perfect text edges
  • Creating thumbnails or previews of PDF pages

How to use it

Frequently asked questions

Will JPG lower the quality of my text?

Slightly: JPG compresses fine edges. For crisp text on slides or forms use the PDF to PNG preset instead.

Can I convert just one page?

Yes. Enter a single number such as 5 in the Pages box and only that page is rendered.

Does it work offline?

Once the page has loaded the conversion runs entirely in your browser, with nothing sent to a server.
